Keep the Signal Alive

For more than 40 years, 2 Triple B has been the voice of the Bellingen Shire connecting the Dorrigo Plateau, Thora Valley, Kalang Valley, Bellingen and Urunga with local news, community updates, emergency information, music, and stories that matter.

But now, our 93.3 FM transmission site at Mt Francis Lookout must be vacated by the end of March 2026, and we urgently need to relocate to keep our service on air.

The 93.3 FM signal is a lifeline for our region. During floods, fires, storms, and power outages, community radio fills the gaps left by national broadcasters and mobile networks. It ensures that local voices, local knowledge, and local emergency information reach the people who need it most.

Without a rapid temporary relocation, large parts of the Shire, particularly west of Dorrigo and down to the coastal areas from Coffs to Valla, may lose access to 2BBB’s signal.

Phase 1: The Urgent Temporary Solution

To stay on air, 2 Triple B must move its transmission equipment to the Dorrigo Water Tower as an interim measure. The cost of this essential temporary setup is $34,000

This is the minimum required to keep the service running while long‑term planning continues for a permanent broadcast site.

Any additional donations above the initial amount will be assigned to Phase 2 and 3 of the project.

We’re asking our community, listeners, businesses, supporters, and anyone who values local independent media to help us raise the $34,000 needed for Phase 1.
