Radio Training Course

WINTER TRAINING COURSE

Selection is now taking place for participants in 2 BBB FM's next 7 week basic training course in radio operation, announcing and management procedures.

Course starts: Wed 28 July 2010

Course ends: Wed 8 September 2010

7 Wednesdays - 6pm to 9.30pm

Hours: Approximately five and a half hours per week comprising:
a) the 3 1/2 hour regular formal session on Wednesday nights
b) up to 2 hours individual practical assignment - at a time to suit each trainee

You Will Learn:

radio presentation skills
studio techniques
station management
ethics and responsibilities of community radio

Tutors are: Dorin Hart and Leo Bradney-George

Your Commitment:

Three and a half hour formal session plus individual practice in the 2 BBB FM studios each week for 7 weeks

Those who complete the course to a satisfactory level may apply for their own show on 2 BBB FM or help in any of the other areas of need at the station, like production, music, admin, outside broadcast, maintenance, etc

Cost:

$150 or $100 concession, including a $60 payment the first night.
Weekly payments can be organised at $25 or $15 concession = $175 or $105.

Note: this cost is subsidised by 2 BBB FM and includes training handouts and GST

All fees have to be paid, whether or not all nights are attended.
You will be notified as soon as possible if you have been selected for the course.
